- I can't imagine the level of guts it takes to voice complaints (let alone bring legal action) for this kind of abuse. Women are treated as possessions, subject to flagrant abuses for which no punishment has been historically imposed.

- There are some crimes that are so bad, so repugnant, that even capital punishment may not be severe enough. But, we have to look at ALL the circumstances surrounding the crime. First, remember that the perp was 13 at the time. The fact that he grew up to be a pedophile is not part of the argument.

- With all due respect for the departed, trains are NOT stealth vehicles! They very rarely sneak up on road crossings. Even when the whistles are not blowing, the trains themselves make a lot of noise.
